Back in the recliner, again

Dad got kicked out of the hospital about noon today; he came home and plopped into his recliner, where he's been spending most of his time. He did his exercises and took his first shower in about two weeks. He's so happy to have clean hair. He also cut his beard and nails, thus transforming from Grizzly Adams to Grizzly Adams with a trim.

He's not that bad. He also got to eat his first bunch of fresh and ripe (at the same time) veggies in a salad.

Perhaps the highlight of dad's return (besides being at home with his family and all that) was having a clicker that goes up and down the channels instead of up only.

hey -- it's me, the old cardiac patient, back at home ad reading callies running commentary for the first time. yes it has been horrific, but I never feared dying somehow, thought it might happen but never fearedit, and it has also unleashed a torrent of affection in and among our family that has been very special, esp. between my wife and children and me. I have been the recipient of grace and love and I just want to thank anyone reading this for their concern and for their wishes and prayers, which we actuallly felt working throughout this experience. i am gald the kidneystone taught me about the purifying aspects of pain, and this has seemed to broaden my education regarding pain as clarifier and puttter-of-all-things-in-perspective. much love to all who cared and showered me with such affection. It has been felt in the heart.
