Feb. Fitness Challenge Day 2

For me, anyway.

Another Tuff-E-Nuff class under my belt with all the running and the lunges and the military presses. I am beat and I must do the dishes.

Can I just say that Denise and Mark are super-positive? They are right-on people. I think most aerobics instructors are at heart, I mean, with all those endorphins cruising your body all the time how could you be mean?

I also think the Y is the perfect place to exercise. You have a mix of people no matter what class you're in — young (sometimes kids), old, male, female (mostly), all races, all body types and ability levels. It isn't like gym class where there's all this free-floating discouragement and humiliation. The instructors aren't burned out or pervy; your classmates are adults who are civil and don't judge. I highly recommend exercise as an adult; it's so much better than having to be on a sports team when you're a kid and there's all that pressure to learn teamwork and be good at athletic stuff.

Exercise as an adult is such a different thing. The only person who will get you down is you.
