Trying New Things

I'm pretty much a creature of routine as much as I like to consider myself adventurous. So I'm trying new things.

To wit: The other day I decided to stop at Top Food and Drug instead of the usual Safeway. The commercials, with the back flipping old lady, led me to believe it would be a dirty store with crummy selection and cheap prices. I was right about only one of those things. What a nice, clean store with all kinds of cheeses and veggies! It's an inconvenient drive, but I feel grateful that there is a backup store out there for me when I want one and I can afford it (are you listening Metropolitan Market?)

Another thing I tried: Vanilla Creme Frosted Mini-Wheats. It's a little heavy on the vanillin artificialness, but I love me some frosted miniwheats. It wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. You get 2.2 less ounces for a box than "classic" flavor, so, due to the "perfumy" factor and the accented e in creme, which I think is a ridiculous word, cream is utterly suitable and looks delicious-er, and the price I'll probably stick with old faithful.
